FAR FROM HOME

Hey everybody. We are in Pisco (not Pesces, Lynda Mote). This is about 4-5 hours away from where we wanted to be, but it was defninitely God´s work that we are here. We went out to a village (Tambo) that our team won´t be working with this summer to just find out a few things and tell them about the team coming in June. It was about 3 1/2 hours out there and four hours back on a crazy dirt road. We barely got back to the village where we spent the night with gas. The village STILL didn´t have power, so we had to dip a couple gallons out and head the opposite direction of where we wanted to be. On the paved road, we kept hearing a noise that sounded like one of the tires, so we pulled over after it got worse for about an hour. It WAS the tire, and in fact, it was working its way right off, and was barely on. This means that if we would have decided to try to make it to our village, we would have never heard it, and who knows what would have happened on a little dirt path on the side of the mountain when it fell off. God is good (all the time)! I love you all, and I will see you soon!

Still excited,
Sally Shuler

P.S. Hopefully, we will have internet in the village, but if not, it will be about three weeks!!!

  • Well, Well, so you made it back to "Pecos"! God sure has a way of protecting us & refreshing us at the same time :) Seems HE's using "Pecos" as a Haven for His people. Glory to HIM! Prayin' you up the mountain safely!
