FIESTA
Phew...The fiesta is finally over! It turned out to be for the local soccer tournament, not the World Cup. It was...well...interesting. I am pretty good at hearing Spanish, but for some odd reason, I have a disability when it comes to understanding drunk men...Hmmm...We decided to not stay at night the last two nights and were still approached by approximately 5645612315874 drunk men and two women. We bought lunch at the fiesta instead of cooking our own those two days, and my food was floating in some type of rather disgusting green juice...This is the first thing that I just have not liked in Peru and have refused to eat. We are spoiled by the lady who cooks for us at night. Her food is really good! Last night we had Chaufa...the Peruvian take on Chinese food. It is my favorite of hers. I´m afraid we are going to be spoiled after this month with beds, a toilet, and good food. We may be in for a shock next month. At least our friends (and of course my WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, AWESOME Mom) are hooking us up with some good lunch food and snacks to eat between lunch (noon) and dinner (eight). They are the best!!! Anyway, thank you guys sooo much for your prayers and encouragment. You are the best! Next time, I will tell you about ¨Rosita...Rosita Ramos!!!¨
