FAR FROM HOME

Hey everybody. We are in Pisco (not Pesces, Lynda Mote). This is about 4-5 hours away from where we wanted to be, but it was defninitely God´s work that we are here. We went out to a village (Tambo) that our team won´t be working with this summer to just find out a few things and tell them about the team coming in June. It was about 3 1/2 hours out there and four hours back on a crazy dirt road. We barely got back to the village where we spent the night with gas. The village STILL didn´t have power, so we had to dip a couple gallons out and head the opposite direction of where we wanted to be. On the paved road, we kept hearing a noise that sounded like one of the tires, so we pulled over after it got worse for about an hour. It WAS the tire, and in fact, it was working its way right off, and was barely on. This means that if we would have decided to try to make it to our village, we would have never heard it, and who knows what would have happened on a little dirt path on the side of the mountain when it fell off. God is good (all the time)! I love you all, and I will see you soon!

Still excited,
Sally Shuler

P.S. Hopefully, we will have internet in the village, but if not, it will be about three weeks!!!

FINALLY HERE!

Hey guys! We arrived in Lima last night. Our flight was, well...it got there...We had a baby in front of us, a baby beside us, and a baby behind us. Also, there were two small children behind us. As you can imagine, we did not sleep much, but we are here and safe, so it´s all good.

I had a lot of prayers lifted up for me this last week, but the one that meant the most may have been the simplest. It came from a five-year old girl who just wanted to pray for me:

¨Dear Jesus, thank you for this day, and thank you for loving us Thank you for taking Sally to Peru, and help her there. We love you. Amen¨
